Ted Tchang
President/CEO
Ted Tchang is Chief Executive Officer and managing owner of Techbilt. With over 30 years of experience in the residential and commercial/industrial land development business, Ted has established himself as a key player in the company’s growth and expansion, which encompasses the construction of approximately 10,000 homes, the development of a 2,650-acre master planned community, over 700 acres of industrial/commercial land, and over 800,000 square feet of industrial and office space. Ted’s financial management, planning, development, and implementation expertise provide solid direction and guidance for a successful completion of each real estate development Techbilt undertakes.
A native of San Diego, Ted earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Engineering-Construction Management from Stanford University and an M.B.A from the Harvard Business School. He has served on various Boards, including the Board of Trustees of the Francis W. Parker School in San Diego and is currently on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for Voices for Children, a San Diego non-profit organization that provides, trains, and supports the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for foster children in San Diego and Riverside Counties.
Additionally, Ted is a member of the San Diego chapter of the Building Industry Association, the Associated General Contractors, and the San Diego Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization.
Ted has been married to his wife, Alice, for over 26 years and they have twin boys. They enjoy traveling and outdoor activities that include cycling, skiing and tennis.
