Raul Guzman

Vice President of Development


Raul is a second-generation member of the Techbilt family who started in 1986 as a purchasing agent. While he studied electrical engineering and computer science in college, he quickly realized his passion was in designing and creating new home communities.

Raul has overseen the development of numerous commercial and residential projects in Southern California as well as the development of Techbilt’s 2,650-acre master planned community in the Colorado Springs area, negotiating with public agencies, securing entitlements and water rights, directing land planning and off-site development, managing the construction of homes and buildings as well as interfacing and negotiating with builders who construct homes in the development.

Raul’s responsibilities include product design, cost estimating, budget development, project scheduling,contract administration and construction management. He is responsible for general oversight of all projects and project managers as well as the construction process and quality control. Raul is also involved in financial analysis, market research and master planning. His attention to detail, forward thinking, planning skills and vision for the future of the company has produced tangible results.

Raul holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego and a California General Contractor’s License. He currently sits on the El Paso County Water Master Plan Steering Committee.

Raul is happily married to his wife, Nancy, and they have three wonderful children. Raul enjoys spending his free time helping coach and manage his kids’ sports activities.
