Jim O’Hara

Chief Financial Officer


Jim O’Hara, CPA, in the role of Chief Financial Officer, provides Techbilt executives with timely and accurate financial statements, ongoing cash flow projections, oversight of all of the tax, accounting and finance operations, as well as design and maintenance of the financial reporting structures. In addition to his accounting and finance oversight responsibilities, Jim offers broad management, internal control and strategic advice to management.

Jim joined Techbilt in 1991. Prior to that, he served as controller at an $80 million real estate development operation, as Controller/Financial Analyst for the personal holding corporation of the chairman of a Fortune 500 company, and as senior accountant at Arthur Andersen & Company.

Jim holds a Master’s degree in Accountancy with a specialization in Tax from San Diego State University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner. He is a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Interfaith Housing Foundation (a non-profit organization) whose mission is to enrich the lives of low and moderate-income families, seniors and persons with disabilities through the provision of affordable housing.

Jim also currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Comfort Cub (a non-profit organization) whose mission is to bring comfort to anyone experiencing a broken heart as a result of a significant loss or trauma.

He has held various leadership positions at National Junior Basketball Association – Encinitas Chapter (a non-profit organization), serving as its President and Treasurer for numerous years. He has coached youth baseball, basketball and soccer for many years.

Jim has been married for over 30 years to his wife, Jane, and together they have 4 children. They enjoy travelling, sports and outdoor activities, such as pickleball and white water rafting. In 2009 he completed the San Diego Rock & Roll full marathon and earned the half marathon Triple Crown by completing the Carlsbad, La Jolla and America’s Finest City half marathons.
